Welcome to the thirteenth day of the 2017 A to Z blog challenge. I’m later than usual this morning because I slept in and had family visiting yesterday–long story short, we had a great time yakking, laughing, and drinking lots of wine.
Today’s letter is M, and in keeping with my decision to introduce you to authors you may not have had a chance to meet before. Today’s author is Marie Lavender, and I’ll be showcasing her new books, The Magick Series
M is For Marie and Magick
Let Marie tell you about herself.
I have been writing for over twenty-five years. From the tender age of nine, I knew I wanted to be an author. I’ve spent most of my life trying to fulfill that dream. I began publishing in 2010, and was fortunate enough to be discovered by Solstice Publishing when they picked up and published my first historical romance novel, Upon Your Return (book one of the Heiresses in Love Series), in February of 2013. The sequel, Upon Your Honor, was released in April of 2014 through Summer Solstice. I also have a lighthearted romantic fantasy, Magick & Moonlight, that released in March of 2014 through Solstice Shadows. Second Nature, a paranormal romance/urban fantasy and book one of the Blood at First Sight Series, was released in December of 2014 through Solstice Shadows. A children’s fantasy titled A Little Magick, book two of the Magick Series, was released in July of 2015. A contemporary romance, Second Chance Heart, was released in October of 2015. Blue Vision, a science fiction romance and book one of the Code of Endhivar Series, was released in November of 2016. In February of 2017, Upon Your Love, book three of the Heiresses in Love Series, was released, along with The Missing Piece, a short new adult romance. Additionally, I am working on a modern romantic drama collection, titled Directions of the Heart;Blood Instincts, a futuristic paranormal romance/urban fantasy and book two of the Blood at First Sight Series; as well as several “collections”, which I hope to release soon.
I have published 22 books under various pen names: Marie Lavender, Erica Sutherhome, Kathryn Layne, and Heather Crouse. I plan to re-release them all under the same name. In the past, I had two short stories published in a private university publication.

-Ray Bradbury
And here are a few tidbits from Magick & Moonlight, book one of the Magick Series
Blurb:
Messing with free will is always a bad idea…
Ethan Hamilton moves to a lazy little town in Oregon, hoping to escape his demons. But, instead he discovers a woman dancing nude in the moonlight. This woman who claims she is a witch dazzles him with her sensual presence. He thinks she’s crazy, but what if she’s not?
Jessie Anderson has been taught that her kind hides who they really are. And she has a problem on her hands. Someone knows her secret and she has to do all she can to protect herself. What other choice does she have? Jessie casts a love spell on a good man, a man with whom she can’t fight her attraction. The spell doesn’t work quite as planned – she ends up falling for Ethan.
To top it off, Ethan’s treatment of her, his “love”, is so addictive. Deep down, she knows the spell will wear off, and yet his feelings seem genuine. It’s just a spell…right?

This sounds like a fun book. Thank you for sharing Marie and her Magick with us!
Marie sounds very imaginative, the story probably has twists and turns that are not expected.
sounds fun
Magician
It sounds like she really hit the ground running! I can’t imagine publishing that many books in only 7 years. Great job!
Happy Easter. 🙂
