Falling into Winter and Love!

Hello! Welcome to my blog, part of the Fall into Winter Romance Giveaway blog hop. At the end of this blog, you will find a link to other blogs participating in the event as well as to the overall draw for a chance to win the  grand prize of a $50.00 Amazon gift card! Plus, comment on my blog, and you could win an e-copy of my latest book!

Well, summer’s over, Canadian Thanksgiving is past, and the tricker-treaters went by last night. That means only one thing to me–NaNoWriMo is here. That’s right. It’s time to write another book in thirty days. Some of you may remember I wrote In Plain Sight, available at Amazon, Kobo, and other e-book distributors, in April 2013 during NaNo boot camp.

I’m doing NaNo differently this time. I joined the Entangled Smackdown through Savvy Authors for the event. I’m going to be writing my book, Echoes of the Past  as part of a team called  the Suspense Squad. In fact, I start writing today! Up for grabs is a book contract with Entangled. Win or lose, I love the competition and work well under this kind of pressure. Let’s hope my November creation will be as good as the one I wrote in April.

November also means we’re getting close to Christmas, and for me that means the release of my first ever Christmas collection. Holiday Magic, Book 1, Second Chance, and Book 2, The Perfect Choice, will be released as e-books and paper books in time for Christmas giving. Book 1, Second Chance is scheduled for release on November 28, 2013.

ImageHoliday Magic tells the story of a set of fraternal twins, Georgia and Eleni Baxter. I named the characters after my two granddaughters who, while they aren’t twins, are only a year apart in age. Like my girlies, Georgia is a brunette, while Eleni is blonde. In Second Chance, you meet Georgia whose fairy tale wedding was scuttled three years earlier when she found her groom in bed with her bridesmaid. Hurt and angry, she ran away without giving anyone a chance to explain, and left everything and everyone she loved behind. Now, Eleni needs her help and Georgia reluctantly steps up to the plate. She comes to her sister’s aid knowing she’ll have to face the past. Is there enough Christmas Magic around to let her forgive those who hurt her and let her find the love she lost?

Unlike Georgia, Eleni is impetuous. She knows what she wants and goes after it, but she has a bad habit of leaping before she looks. Being Ocean Front Casinos special events coordinator is a dream come true, but where is her elusive employer and why does the casino manager take such an interest in her? There’s something about him that seems familiar and she’s attracted to him, but the man’s full of secrets, and his identity is just one of them.

Holiday Magic is the perfect Christmas read–two feel-good stories about love at the most magical time of year!

Take time to visit other blogs participating in this event, and don’t forget to enter the raffle. Happy November!

Finally retired after more than 30 years as a teacher! Now, I get to spend my time gardening, enjoying my grandchildren, and writing. I finally completed the number one item in my bucket list and Crimson Romance published my first novel, Fire Angel, in April 2013. Since then I have published 24 manuscripts to date and don't plan to quit writing for a long time yet.

  1. I don’t believe in magic, but there is something to the idea of Christmas magic. People smile more, are more giving and patient, are more thankful. It is a special, magical, time.
